More than ever, companies are looking for leaders with advanced STEM skills who are adept in the art and science of business.
Technology leaders today are being pressured to meet new requirements in terms of flexibility, speed, and transparency. They must also show how their work is aligned with the business’s goals. This requires a new approach that allows the function to create value and not just preserve it. This is the reason that many organizations are embracing technology-based business management (TBM).
TBM is a field that gives a framework for providing complete visibility, planning and billing, budgeting and benchmarking of the entire IT Portfolio across all technologies and delivery and development models. It allows finance and technology leaders to comprehend the impact of technological changes and ensures that the investments they make are in line with their objectives and the overall direction of the organization.
This program is available at both COTC campuses, as well as online and can be combined with an associate degree in business to achieve a bachelor’s degree with our 2+2 program. It is designed to prepare students for entry-level supervisory, administrative and management trainee positions in service and production industries. It is a well-balanced program that teaches an integrated and practical approach to the functions of business operations including marketing, human resources management, and supervision. The program also offers a general education curriculum as well as a selection of electives.
